Dr. Elaine Johnson, Postdoctoral Fellow

Supervised by Dr. Kristin Carothers

Dr. Johnson received her doctorate from Emory University with a focus on clinical developmental science. Her research focuses on wellness outcomes and developmental transitions across the lifespan (from infancy to adulthood).

She is currently an assistant teaching professor in the psychology department at Emory. She also completed her predoctoral internship at the Emory school of Medicine Child and Adolescent Mood Program, where she worked with children, adults, and families struggling with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, and serious mental illness.

Dr. Johnson has been extensively trained in several evidence based interventions including Parent Child Interaction therapy (PCIT) and PCIT for Selective Mutism. She will provide groups for children with Selective Mutism in the Fall, Winter and Spring.
